Post-production on Star Wars: Episode VIII starts

As per director Rian Johnson’s Instagram, the production of the much-awaited Star Wars Episode VIII is over, and the lengthy editing process has begun.

Rian shared this picture on his Instagram account, with the caption, “Day one!”

Johnson, who’s directorial credits include films such as ‘Looper ‘and ‘Brick’, has also directed episodes of the critically-acclaimed AMC drama, ‘Breaking Bad’. He also shared set photos as Episode VIII closed production, last month.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is scheduled for release on December 15, 2017, and it stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fischer, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Issac, Domnhall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. Joining the cast are Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern in unspecified roles. John Williams has also confirmed that he is working on the score for the film.
